WD drive is in use

The firmware cannot be updated while the My Book or My Passport drive is in use.

Before the firmware can be successfully updated, you must exit the WD SmartWare™ software and close all open applications on your computer.

To continue:

  1. Exit the WD SmartWare software.
  2. Close all open applications on your computer.
  3. Run the Firmware Updater again.
