Customizing the WD SmartWare software settings

To customize the settings of the WD SmartWare™ software, click:

• File History to specify the number of backup versions that you want to keep for each file
• Backup Speed to pause backups until your computer is idle
• Retrieve Folder to specify a different retrieve folder, which is a copy destination on your computer's internal hard drive for files retrieved from your My Book or My Passport drive
• Preferences to automatically check for software updates each time you reconnect your drive to your computer
