Completing the backup

The WD SmartWare™ software reports the completion of a backup with one of three messages on the initial Backup screen:

IMPORTANT! The appearance of a Caution message indicating that your My Book or My Passport drive is full means that there is not enough free space on the drive to complete the backup operation. The best solution would be to relegate the drive to long-term archive storage and:

  1. Click the WD SmartWare Help tab.
  2. Click the WD Store link at the lower-right corner of the screen to display the Western Digital Online Store website.
  3. Click External Hard Drives and select the drive that best meets your future needs.
