Deadly Combat + Ordinator patch for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (Special Edition) 12 March 2017 Borgut1337 This is a small patch for combining the Deadly Combat and Ordinator mods for the Special Edition of Skyrim. The included plugin (.esp file) should be loaded AFTER DeadlyCombat.esp and also AFTER Ordinator.esp. The patch was created for version 9.06 of Ordinator (the latest version at the time this was created). It should also work fine with future versions of Ordinator if they don't modify the specific Block perks that were modified by this patch. If future versions of Ordinator make changes to the same Block perks that this patch affects, the patch will need to be updated as well or it will simply revert those new changes in Ordinator. It is not technically necessary to use this patch when combining Deadly Combat with Ordinator, but it is recommended for the best gameplay. Specifically, this patch implements the following changes: - "Timed Block" Ordinator perk renamed to "Persistent Block". This perk is now used by Deadly Combat to reduce Stamina cost penalty for missing timed blocks, instead of "Shield Wall". - All Ordinator perks active during Ordinator's Timed Block feature are now active during Deadly Combat's Timed Block window instead. Specifically, the affected perks are Apocalypse Proof, Hold the Line, and Mocking Blow. This is mostly a nerf to these perks, since Deadly Combat's Timed Blocking window is significantly shorter. Deadly Combat's Timed Blocks are already much more effective by default though: they block all damage (instead of only 30%) against NPCs with one-handed weapons, and you are not locked out of further Timed Block attempts for a short duration if you fail to block an attack. - All Ordinator perks that affect an opponent after performing a Timed Block against his attack now affect opponents in the same way after a Timed Block from Deadly Combat. Specifically, the affected perks are Poke the Dragon, and Dragon Tail. - The Ordinator perk Timing Streak (and the related perks Break Their Teeth and Deliverance) now count Timed Blocks from Deadly Combat instead of Timed Blocks from Ordinator. - The text of the Dragon Scales perk has been adjusted to specify that it also works against Creatures, and against NPCs with Two-Handed Weapons (because DC Timed Blocks already block all damage by default, but not against those specific opponents). - Removed sound that Ordinator plays on successful Timed Blocks (I personally think the sound can be unimmersive, for example when blocking with a weapon, and prefer simply recognizing that the timed block was successful visually by looking at an opponent's reaction). - Disabled messages in top-left corner about successful Timed Blocks for same reason as above.
